Carnegie Medal Winners

The Carnegie Medal is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book for children.
 
It was established by in 1936, in memory of the great Scottish-born philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919). Guardian Children's Fiction Award

The Guardian Award was founded in 1967 and is the only children's book award in which writers are judged by their peers. The Guardian also runs a Young Critics' Competitionwhich runs in parallel with the fiction prize, where children aged 16 or below can submit a review of not more than 200 words on one of the longlisted books and 10 of the best will win a set of the long-listed books for their schools and a book voucher for themselves.

The Blue Peter Children's Book Award is given annually by the BBC Television Programme "Blue Peter". The award has been in existence since 2000.A judging panel of 7 children will chose a winner in each of the 3 categories - The Book I Could not Put Down, the Most Fun Story With Pictures, and the Best Book With Facts. The Blue Peter Book of the Year award is then given to the overall winner from the above categories.
