Today is the 200th Anniversary of Charles Dickens! Charles John Huffam Dickens, the author of timeless classics such as Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickelby, David Copperfield and A Christmas Carol to name but a few. Across the world, people are taking part in celebrations to mark this momentous day. Many people (including The Duchess Of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales) went to a ceremony at Westminister Abbey, and Prince Charles laid a wreath on Dickens' grave in the Poet's Corner. Celebrations took place in Portsmouth, where the author was born, and many are taking part in a global 24-hour readathon! How will you celebrate Charles Dicken's Anniversary?
